Who can take part
- You must have had an ischemic stroke (a clot blocking blood flow in the brain) within the last 1 to 14 days.
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- Your stroke must be in the front part of the brain, confirmed by a scan.
- You should not have received clot-busting medicine or a mechanical clot removal procedure for this stroke.
- You must not have bleeding in the brain, a brain tumor, cancer, or a serious infection.
- Your liver and kidney function must be normal or near normal.
