Who can take part
- You are 18 or older
- Your tumor is in the kidney pelvis, smaller than 3 cm, and has not spread to lymph nodes or other organs
- You are scheduled to have a laser treatment through a scope (ureteroscopy)
- Your doctor expects you to live at least 12 more weeks
- You can provide blood, urine, and tissue samples for testing
- Your kidney function is good enough, with a total filtration rate of at least 15 ml/min
