Brain stimulation for anxiety after miscarriages

Recurrent Pregnancy Loss(RPL)Anxiety

This study tests a non-invasive brain stimulation technique (repetitive TMS) to see if it can improve heart health and reduce anxiety in women who have had multiple pregnancy losses and struggle with anxiety. You will receive high-intensity, low-frequency magnetic pulses over a specific area of the brain involved in worry and stress.

Who can take part

  • You are a woman between 18 and 45 years old and right-handed.
  • You have had 2 or more miscarriages in a row (before 28 weeks of pregnancy).
  • You are not currently pregnant and do not have a missed miscarriage.
  • You have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) with significant symptoms (like a HAMA score of at least 16).
  • You do not have metal implants in your head, a history of seizures, or certain heart or thyroid problems, and you haven't taken psychiatric medications in the last 4 weeks.
