Comparing nerve blocks for knee replacement pain

This trial tests a type of nerve block called an adductor canal block (ACB) with or without another block (BiFeS) to see which provides better pain relief after knee replacement surgery. If you are having knee replacement and are in good general health, this study may help improve your recovery.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are having a kidney stone removal procedure called percutaneous nephrolithotomy under general anesthesia.
  • Your overall health is classified as ASA I, II, or III (generally healthy or with mild to moderate health issues).
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners.
  • You are not allergic to any of the medicines used in the trial (like local anesthetics and fentanyl).
  • You have no signs of infection where the block will be given, and you can cooperate with pain assessments after surgery.
