  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You are having your first total knee replacement on one knee only
  • You are healthy enough for surgery (classified as ASA I, II, or III)
  • You do not have nerve or muscle disease, bleeding problems, or drug allergies
  • You are not pregnant and are willing to participate
