Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You are currently in the ICU with low phosphate levels (below 0.80 mmol/L) and your doctor has decided you need phosphate.
  • You are getting at least 10 calories per kilogram of body weight per day through a feeding tube.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have any stomach or bowel problems that would prevent using a feeding tube (like a blockage, severe pancreatitis, or intolerance).
  • You do not have severe kidney problems, a known allergy to the study drug, or other conditions that make participation unsafe.
