Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with ITP for at least 3 months.
  • Your platelet counts have been below 30 (×10⁹/L) in the last 48 hours and also in two separate tests at least one week apart during screening.
  • You have tried steroid treatment for ITP and it either didn't work, stopped working, or you relapsed.
  • You have not had emergency ITP treatment (like IV steroids, platelets, or gamma globulin) in the last 2 weeks.
  • Your liver and kidney function tests are within 1.5 times the normal upper limit.
