  • Your baby was born before 30 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby is less than 4 weeks old (chronological age).
  • Your baby is currently on a type of breathing support called synchronized NIPPV (a ventilator that helps them breathe).
  • Your baby does not have any severe birth defects that affect lung or heart function.
  • Your baby is stable enough to participate, in the opinion of the treating doctor.
