Who can take part

  • You are between 45 and 65 years old
  • This is your first stroke, and it happened between 7 days and 3 months ago
  • You have weakness on one side of your body (hemiplegia) and your arm is very weak (score of 2 or less on a muscle strength test)
  • You can stand with some help and sit without support for 30 seconds
  • Your stroke is ischemic (caused by a blockage) and confirmed by a CT scan
