Who can take part
- You are scheduled for lung or chest tumor surgery using a camera (VATS) that lasts at least 1 hour.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 30.
- You are classified as ASA I, II, or III (meaning you are in good to fair health for surgery).
- You will receive general anesthesia plus a numbing shot near your ribs and chest wall.
- You do not have a fever, chronic pain, or conditions that affect your immune or nervous system.
