Who can take part

  • You must be 19 years old or older.
  • You must be staying in the hospital and need your heart rhythm monitored by a telemetry machine.
  • You cannot have a known allergy or skin reaction to medical tape or sticky gels.
  • You cannot have any open sores, cuts, or skin injuries where the patch would be placed.
  • You cannot have a pacemaker, ICD (implantable defibrillator), or another implanted heart device.
  • You cannot have a history of skin cancer, certain skin conditions, or a tendency to form thick scars (keloids).
