Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must be able to understand and agree to join the study
- You must have one of these conditions: obesity (BMI 25 or higher), chronic kidney disease (stage 3a or worse), early pregnancy, primary hyperparathyroidism (with surgery planned), or a complex calcium/phosphate disorder
- If you are a healthy control, you must have a BMI between 18 and 25, not be pregnant, and not have kidney disease or hyperparathyroidism
- If you are in the obesity group, you cannot have kidney disease, be pregnant, or have hyperparathyroidism
- If you have kidney disease, pregnancy, or hyperparathyroidism, your BMI must be between 18 and 30
