Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 75 years old
  • Be healthy enough for study procedures based on your medical history
  • Be able and willing to sign written informed consent
  • Be in one of the steroid groups: short-term high-dose prednisolone (<5 days, at least 30mg) OR longer-term high-dose prednisolone (over 1 month, >30mg) OR start high-dose methylprednisolone (>3 days) OR a prolonged dexamethasone course
  • Do not have diabetes type 1 or type 2
  • Be able to stop certain supplements/herbal products and certain interacting medicines if the study asks
