Who can take part
- You are 18 or older.
- You have type 2 diabetes and kidney disease caused by diabetes.
- Your kidney function is at least stage 3 (eGFR over 30).
- You have been on an SGLT2 inhibitor (like canagliflozin, empagliflozin, or dapagliflozin) for at least 1 year.
- You are taking an ACE inhibitor or ARB (or have a medical reason not to).
- You can safely have an MRI (no pacemaker, no claustrophobia, not pregnant or breastfeeding).
