Mouthwash test for painful oral lichen planus

This trial tests a special mouthwash containing sodium hyaluronate and sh-oligopeptide-85 to see if it can ease symptoms of oral lichen planus, a chronic mouth condition that causes pain and sores. It may help people with active lesions who are not using other treatments.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with oral lichen planus by a doctor, confirmed with a biopsy.
  • You currently have painful red, raw, or ulcer-like sores in your mouth.
  • Your pain level on a 0–10 scale is 6 or less.
  • You have not used any steroid mouthwash or cream in the last month, or steroid pills in the last 2 months.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
