Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have type 2 diabetes for at least 6 months
- Your A1c blood sugar level is between 7.0 and 10.5%
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 27 or higher and stable for 3 months
- You take metformin daily for at least 3 months
- You have not used insulin or other diabetes medications in the past 3 months
