Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and seen at the Mayo Clinic mycobacterial and bronchiectasis clinic in Rochester.
  • You have been diagnosed with bronchiectasis, a lung condition where airways are damaged and widened.
  • In the last 3 months, a sputum (phlegm) test showed a lot of mold (or at least two different types of mold).
  • You are not currently taking antibiotics or antifungal medications, and don't plan to start them soon.
  • You must be able to cough up phlegm on your own at the first study visit.
