Who can take part
- You are scheduled for urgent heart surgery that uses a heart-lung machine.
- You are taking one or more of these blood thinners: indobufen, ticagrelor, warfarin, cilostazol, dabigatran, rivaroxaban, or apixaban, and took it recently (within the drug's washout period).
- You do not have chronic liver failure or severe kidney disease needing dialysis.
- You are not pregnant or recently gave birth.
- You do not have advanced cancer or need surgery to remove a tumor.
- You are not allergic to the materials in the study's blood filter.
- You do not have a bleeding disorder like hemophilia or heparin-induced low platelets.
