Who can take part

  • You have a diagnosis of schizophrenia or a related condition.
  • You have negative symptoms like trouble with motivation, speaking, or expressing emotions.
  • You don't have a personal or family history of seizures or epilepsy.
  • You don't have any metal in your head or body that can't be safely removed.
  • You don't have a recent history of alcohol or drug problems.
  • You are not at moderate or high risk for suicide.
  • You are willing to avoid alcohol and marijuana for at least 24 hours before sessions.
  • If you could become pregnant, you agree to use birth control or are not pregnant.
