Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older and willing to join the study.
  • Your kidney function must be above a certain level before surgery (eGFR > 45).
  • You cannot have severe kidney problems in the other kidney, such as an eGFR below 15 or being on dialysis.
  • You cannot have cancer that has spread to lymph nodes, other organs, or major blood vessels.
  • You must not have allergies to the ultrasound contrast dye or certain heart conditions that make the test unsafe.
  • You cannot have other unstable medical problems like uncontrolled bleeding or very low blood pressure.
