- You are a cisgender woman, a man who has sex only with women, or a nonbinary person with a penis who has sex only with women.
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have had at least one sexual partner in the last 12 months.
- You have untreated early syphilis (either a rash/sore, or a positive blood test within the last year with certain signs).
- You are willing to get syphilis treatment on the day you join the study.
- You have not taken antibiotics (except metronidazole) in the past month.
