Comparing two expanders for crossbite in children

Who can take part

  • Your child is still in the mixed dentition stage (some baby teeth, some adult teeth).
  • Your child has a crossbite (upper teeth sit inside lower teeth) on one or both sides.
  • Your child is before or at the start of puberty (confirmed by a neck X-ray).
  • Your child's upper and lower first molars (the big back teeth) are fully grown in.
  • Your child has a class I or II jaw relationship (normal or slightly forward upper jaw).
  • Your child has not had braces or missing teeth, and has no medical conditions or cleft lip/palate.
