Who can take part

  • Weigh at least 20 kg (44 lbs).
  • Have a clinical diagnosis of aHUS or a related condition (like infection, pregnancy, post-transplant, or high blood pressure crisis).
  • Have all three signs: low platelets, low red blood cells (anemia), and acute kidney injury.
  • Have not taken a complement inhibitor (like eculizumab) before.
  • Agree to get a meningococcal vaccine and take antibiotics if needed.
  • Start treatment within 14 days of the latest TMA episode.
