Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older and not pregnant.
  • You need to have either severely low blood pressure or signs of shock, OR you have complex heart anatomy that makes the valve procedure risky.
  • You must not have severe blockages in leg arteries that prevent ECMO use.
  • You must not have had a cardiac arrest that required CPR for over 40 minutes.
  • This trial is not for people who are stable or have simple valve anatomy with low risk.
