Who can take part
- You have severe aortic stenosis (aortic valve area < 1 cm²) and are in cardiogenic shock (low blood pressure, high lactate, weak heart, or have fainted and need a breathing tube).
- No brain bleed in the past month.
- Life expectancy is at least 6 months from other causes.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 15 and 40.
- You are not severely frail (Clinical Frailty Score under 6 before this episode).
- No severe lung disease (FEV1 or DLCO less than 25% of expected).
