Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a first-time reverse total shoulder replacement.
- A small rotator cuff muscle (teres minor) is still intact—confirmed by a doctor's exam and during surgery.
- You can take part in physical therapy or a home exercise program.
- You do not have an active infection.
- The main shoulder muscle (deltoid) is working well.
- You have not had a shoulder replacement on the same side before.
