This trial tests whether atomoxetine, a drug that boosts a brain chemical called noradrenaline, can help reduce freezing of gait—a feeling of your feet being stuck to the ground—in people with Parkinson's disease. You would continue your usual Parkinson's medications during the study and undergo walking tests and brain scans to see if the drug helps.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease by a neurologist
  • You experience freezing of gait (feeling like your feet are stuck) every day
  • You can walk about 33 feet (10 meters) without help when your Parkinson's medication is working
  • You are willing to have MRI brain scans (no metal implants, pacemaker, or severe claustrophobia)
  • You are not taking certain medications like some antidepressants, strong asthma inhalers, or drugs that affect the noradrenaline system
