Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are on hemodialysis (dialysis for your kidneys).
  • You have a mature and working AV fistula (a natural connection between an artery and vein that has been made for dialysis).
  • You have not had problems with your AV fistula in the past.
  • You do not use a graft or a catheter (plastic tube) for dialysis.
  • Your doctor expects you to live for more than 1 year.
