Who can take part

  • You had your first-ever stroke between 3 and 12 months ago.
  • Your stroke left you with moderate movement problems in your arm and leg.
  • Your stroke was a small, deep stroke (lacunar or branch atheromatous disease) seen on an MRI.
  • You are willing and able to take part in rehabilitation therapy during the study.
  • You are not on certain blood thinners or NSAIDs (unless your doctor says it's safe).
