Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have ongoing shortness of breath that rates between 2 and 8 on a 0–10 scale (0 = not at all, 10 = worst possible).
- Your shortness of breath has lasted more than 3 weeks even with the best treatments for your condition.
- You have not been hospitalized in the last 4 weeks for a heart, lung, or brain emergency.
- You have either heart failure (NYHA class III or IV), COPD (severe breathlessness), or cancer that has spread to the lungs.
- You can lie flat on your back and have no reason (like claustrophobia, pacemaker, or certain mental health conditions) that would make an MRI unsafe.
