Who can take part
- You are between 60 and 85 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have not taken any diabetes medication in the last 3 months.
- Your recent blood tests (HbA1c) are between 7.0% and 11.0%, and your fasting blood sugar is 15 mmol/L or lower.
- Your body fat percentage is at least 25% (for men) or 30% (for women).
- You have not had a heart attack, stroke, or serious diabetes complication in the past 6 months.
- You do not have kidney problems (eGFR must be 45 or higher).
