Who can take part

  • You are between 21 and 65 years old.
  • You are scheduled for elective (non-emergency) umbilical hernia surgery with general anesthesia.
  • You are healthy or have only mild medical conditions (ASA 1 or 2).
  • You do not have diabetes or other metabolic problems.
  • You are not taking corticosteroid medications.
  • You have no known allergies to local anesthetics, no bleeding disorders, and no serious mental or nervous system conditions.
