Who can take part

  • You are between 21 and 65 years old.
  • You are scheduled for elective (non-emergency) upper abdominal surgery.
  • You are in good general health (classified as ASA I or II).
  • You do not have a known allergy to the medications used in the blocks.
  • You do not have chronic pain before surgery.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or less.
