- You are between 18 and 60 years old
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 30
- You are scheduled for hand or forearm surgery
- You do not have any lung disease like asthma or COPD

- You do not have a bleeding disorder, nerve disease, or allergy to the anesthetics used
