Study of Coenzyme I Injection for Vascular Aging
Treatments studied
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This trial tests if an injection of Coenzyme I (a form of vitamin B3) can help reverse vascular aging in people with high blood pressure and stiff arteries. It may lower your risk of future heart problems.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You are between 40 and 70 years old.
- You have high blood pressure (systolic between 140 and 159, or diastolic between 90 and 99) and stiff arteries shown by a special test.
- You have not taken any vitamin B3 or NAD+ supplements in the last 3 months.
- You do not have a history of heart attack, stroke, or cancer.

This research study examines how blood vessels age over time and how a protein called SNRK may be involved in that process. Researchers want to understand vascular aging (how blood vessels become less flexible as we get older) to potentially help prevent heart and stroke problems.
This study compares two versions of a supplement called Qualia NAD+ to see how well they increase NAD+ levels in your cells. NAD+ is a molecule that helps your cells produce energy and may support healthy aging. You will take the supplement for 28 days and measure your NAD+ levels at home with a simple finger-stick test.
This trial tests whether a sustained-release nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) supplement can improve immune aging and metabolism in people aged 50-70 who are overweight or have fatty liver, pre-diabetes, or mild type 2 diabetes.
This trial studies whether taking an NAD supplement can support brain blood vessel health as people age. Participants will be tested for brain and health changes and may help researchers understand how to keep the brain’s blood vessels healthier over time.
This trial tests a nutritional supplement (nicotinamide riboside) to see how it affects blood flow in healthy adults. It may help understand how to support vascular health as we age.
This trial tests whether nicotinamide riboside can improve elevated blood pressure and blood vessel stiffness in middle-aged and older adults. You may be randomly assigned to take the study medicine or not, and the team will check your heart/blood vessel measurements over time.
