This trial tests a combination of two chemotherapy drugs (lurbinectedin and irinotecan) for people with desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT) that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery. It is for patients whose cancer has gotten worse after at least one prior treatment.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with DSRCT, and it has spread or cannot be removed by surgery.
  • You are 15 years old or older.
  • Your cancer has gotten worse after at least one prior chemotherapy (which must have included an anthracycline drug), and you have had no more than 3 prior chemotherapy treatments.
  • You are generally well enough to be up and about at least half of the day (ECOG performance status 0-2).
  • Your heart, kidney, liver, and blood cell counts are within acceptable ranges (these will be checked with tests).
