- You are 19 years or older
- You have stage IV lung cancer (suspected or confirmed by imaging or biopsy)
- You are already scheduled for a bronchoscopy with a lung wash as part of usual care
- You have not had a recent lung infection treated with antibiotics or antifungals in the last month
- You do not have an autoimmune disease requiring systemic immune-suppressing medication
