Who can take part

  • You must be between 6 and 15 years old.
  • A blood test must show you have low vitamin A (less than 0.30 mg/L).
  • You must have a spine X-ray showing scoliosis.
  • Your spine curve must be less than 40 degrees and your bones still growing (not fully mature).
  • You cannot have taken high-dose vitamin A in the past year.
  • You must not have other serious health conditions or a history of spine surgery.
