Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis (a curved spine with no known cause) at your first clinic visit.
  • Your bones are still growing (Risser sign 0-3, meaning you haven't reached full skeletal maturity).
  • Your spine curve (Cobb angle) is between 11 and 40 degrees.
  • You are between 6 and 17 years old.
  • You have no other spine problems, previous spine surgery, serious leg length difference, or plans to move away in the next two years.
