Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with essential high blood pressure.
- Your blood pressure is still high (140/90 mmHg or above) even when taking 1–2 blood pressure medicines, or you can't take the medicines you need.
- Your daytime average blood pressure (taken with a monitor) is 135 mmHg or higher after stopping some medicines for 2 weeks, but below 170 mmHg.
- You do not have certain kidney or artery conditions that would make the procedure unsafe.
- You are willing to follow all study visits and procedures.
