Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with high blood pressure but have never taken medication for it.
- Your diastolic blood pressure is between 90 and 109 mmHg (the bottom number) and your systolic is below 140 mmHg (the top number) when measured in the doctor's office.
- If you wear a 24-hour blood pressure monitor, your average systolic is below 130 mmHg and your average diastolic is 80 mmHg or higher.
- You are willing to participate and give written consent.
- You do not have any condition that would make the procedure unsafe (such as kidney problems, heart rhythm issues, or pregnancy).
