Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with a type of liver cancer called hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and you had surgery within the last 8 weeks to remove all visible cancer.
- Your surgery completely removed the cancer (doctors call this R0 resection) and scans after surgery show no cancer left behind.
- You are in generally good health (ECOG score 0 or 1, meaning you can carry on daily activities).
- Your cancer had at least one high-risk feature: a single tumor larger than 5 cm, cancer in blood vessels, three or more tumors, a high-grade tumor (Edmondson III-IV), or a surgical margin of 1 cm or less.
- You have not had any prior treatment for liver cancer (like chemotherapy, targeted drugs, or radiation) before surgery.
- You have adequate blood counts, liver and kidney function, and no active infections (except hepatitis B or C that is being treated).
