Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old and have advanced liver cancer (HCC) that cannot be removed by surgery.
  • You have not had any whole-body cancer treatment before, or your cancer came back after surgery and you haven't had whole-body treatment.
  • You are able to have a procedure called TACE (chemo directly into your liver artery), and your tumors are not too large or too many (up to 10, largest less than 10 cm, less than half of your liver affected).
  • You are in good general health (ECOG 0 or 1) and your liver is working well (Child-Pugh A).
  • Your blood counts, kidney, and liver lab tests are within certain safe limits, and your blood pressure is controlled with up to 3 medications.
  • You are not pregnant, can take oral pills, and have no history of recent severe bleeding, blood clots, or autoimmune disease.
