  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You have a chest tube that is confirmed to be in the lung tissue on a CT scan or X-ray.
  • You are stable enough to have the tube removed in a step-by-step way.
  • You are not bleeding heavily or have a large air leak that needs immediate surgery.
  • You do not have a blood clotting problem that cannot be fixed.
  • You agree to participate and can be followed up.
