Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You are scheduled to have a wedge resection (removing a small piece of lung) through a single small cut, using a camera to guide the surgery
  • You are healthy enough for general anesthesia and to have your lung temporarily deflated during surgery
  • During surgery, the doctor checks that your lung has no air leak (a test is done before closing the chest)
  • You agree to sign a consent form and come back for a checkup 30 days after surgery
