Who can take part

  • You are 14 to 65 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with lupus (SLE) and have a confirmed kidney biopsy showing lupus nephritis (type III, IV, or V) in the last 6 months.
  • Your lupus is active (SLEDAI score > 6) and you have significant protein in your urine (over 1 gram per day).
  • Your kidney function is not too low (eGFR must be at least 45 mL/min/1.73 m²).
  • You have not had a serious infection, IV antibiotics, or certain other medical conditions in the past month (like hepatitis, tuberculosis, or recent cancer).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you have no known allergies to the study drugs.
