Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth or the back of the throat (the oropharynx), confirmed by a biopsy
  • You have already had a clinical exam with a scope (nasofibroscopy) done by an ear, nose, and throat surgeon
  • You have already had a contrast-enhanced MRI of your head and neck
  • You have already had a contrast-enhanced dual-energy CT scan of your head and neck with a special maneuver called BOLT
  • You do not have cancer of the lip, and you do not have any reason you cannot have one or both of the imaging tests
