This study tests whether people with an acquired brain injury can learn new connections between symbols and words using a computer-based learning method. The goal is to see if this approach can help with cognitive rehabilitation.

Who can take part

  • You had a brain injury from a stroke, traumatic brain injury, brain tumor, encephalitis, or cardiac arrest.
  • Your injury happened more than 3 months ago.
  • You do not have a progressive brain disease (like Alzheimer's) or a severe mental health condition.
  • You can speak and understand Dutch well enough for a test.
  • You do not have severe memory loss, aphasia (trouble speaking/understanding), or major vision/hearing problems.
