- You are currently staying in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) for seizure monitoring
- You have epilepsy that does not improve with medication
- Your doctor has already decided you need a test with temporary wires placed inside your brain (intracranial electrodes)
- You do not have severe thinking or pain issues that would prevent you from doing simple tasks during the monitoring
