Who can take part
- You must be able to give yourself the study drug injections, or have someone help you if needed.
- You have type 2 diabetes with an A1c between 6.5% and 10% and are on stable oral diabetes pills (not including DPP-4 inhibitors or GLP-1-based therapies) for at least 3 months.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 27 or higher.
- You have tried diet and exercise to lose weight before, without lasting success.
- You have not lost or gained more than 11 pounds (5 kg) in the last 3 months.
- You have not been treated with any GLP-1-based therapy (like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, or similar) in the last 6 months.
